Visited the newly renovated Inn for a bite to eat and drink and we were not disappointed. The welcome was warm and sincere, choice of food fab as was the quality when it came. Beyond that the landlady who is also the chef came to see us on two occasions, a really nice touch. The decors great, there is a sports bar to the rear and there is also a garden. Decided to go out and as they have just opened, thought we would try it out. I had buttermilk chicken burger, was tasty and the chicken crunchy coating. My husband had the spicy pizza, it was nice, he would have liked a bit spicier and more meat topping, Kids had burger chips and sweetcorn ribs the other had Chicago town pizza mash and beans. The refurbishment has changed the pub into a much better establishment. Good selection of beers, wines and snacks.The food menu is very good, we had a Sunday roast, served hot and in good time with good portions. The staff are pleasant, polite and helpful. Will return soon.
