The Railway Inn
Station Rd, NewnhamTrevor and Sam are the new wonderful and welcoming owners of the Railway Inn and Tandoori. Our party of around 25 had the most amazing selection of really superb starters and curries in the restaurant, followed by a relaxing time in the cosy traditional bar, with lovely log fires, below. (Now watching out for the monthly music nights too!)

Ship Inn, High St, NewnhamCame for breakfast / mid morning hot drink and snack on a cold sleepy February morning. Quaint without being old and musty, big spaces for the cafe, very friendly staff, decent food at very reasonable prices (and the granary bread was wolfed down by grown ups and kids alike!), and nice shop downstairs. Crayons and little books for kids, couple of high chairs too.

Black Pig
High St, NewnhamBlack Pig Pizza is a great addition to Newnham-on-Severn. Consistently excellent pizzas — beautifully made, generously topped and clearly crafted with care. The quality of the ingredients speaks for itself, and everything arrives hot, fresh and exactly as it should.
Friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere and food that always delivers. It’s the kind of place you’re glad to have on your doorstep — and one you’ll keep coming back to.

The Silver Fox Café
Silver Fox Cafe, NewnhamA big wow, love it. Good staff, food and a couple of bikes inside. Empty when I arrived, full when I left.
The Silver Fox, I did read, asked about the place. The property was bought and referbed but before that was empty, unloved and left.
The food and hot drinks, nice.
Going to stop again when on route.
