We came at a quiet time for lunch, but I have been in the evening for a drink and the atmosphere then is great. The food was excellent and we experienced excellent service, a lovely relaxed experience ?

Wonderful hidden gem. Food was exceptional, atmosphere friendly and relaxed, choice excitingly different (a game broth, pheasant terrine etc) and an enormous breakfast (vegetarian or carnivorous) for £12. Loads of variations on eggs Benedict. Community run but check opening times as kitchen is closed Mondays and Wednesdays I think. Good walking country. Food cooked fresh with quality local ingredients and passion.We stayed at the pods up the hill, and visited here for Friday evening and Saturday brunch. The atmosphere and quality from this little community run hub is outstanding.Smiles all round, from locals and staff, and especially us. We were happy to kick back whilst our food was lovingly put together.Don't stop what you're doing guys, it's fab!!And don't forget to say hi to Mr Bean either.
