I visited the half way with 2 friends we booked the Sunday lunch, we are kind of foodys so it takes a banging roast to impress us, what can I say, the roast was 10 out of 10! So good we are still talking about it ..we will be back . I never write reviews but had to because the food was that good. Run don’t walk people you won’t be disappointed

Having driven from Scotland to spend Christmas with family in Cheltenham and having read Giles Coren’s reviews, we booked for lunch on Christmas Eve, so what else could I order but ‘the best pie in England’? Such a buzzy atmosphere when you arrive with a log burning stove in a country pub. Great food and a good wine list with plenty by the glass. Very friendly and attentive service. Deservedly popular so booking is important.
