Met up with my old friend for a few drinks here. Didn't fancy The 'Spoons and it's dodgy atmosphere. Had read good reviews about TRT and wasn't disappointed. Slightly quirky but not unappealing layout. Very buzzy atmosphere. Had a bit of live music plus the rugby on the box. Food being served seemed to go down well from what I could see. Nice friendly pub with great bar staff and great beer garden! Easily missed being on the edge of the main centre but shouldn’t be avoided! Good food, good selection of drinks, quiz nights and clean and tidy!
It was my first visit to this pub, we popped in initially prior to going for a meal at a nearby restaurant. Service was friendly and there was a nice atmosphere in the pub. I loved the decor in the rooms too. What made this place special wS when we returned a couple of hours later, the young lad that had served us earlier remembered our previous order and asked if we wanted the same again, ( he repeated our earlier order ) We didn't but that level or service is a rare thing.
