A portion of chips at 2 in the afternoon should be fresh. Absolutely awful, please remove "Traditional" from your signage! Greasy, bits of chips stewed in oil. Shockingly bad! Explains why ther is no food above the fryers, obviously the locals know it's a place to avoid. Sad.Dietary restrictions: Not for people with an aversion to oil!

got takeaway haddock, 1/2 the size of last time I visited a few weeks previously... same price though. benefit of the doubt and will try again and see what happens next time.

My experience differs from most of the other reviewers. First time trying here as Happy Dolphin was closed. The large cod was so thin I can't believe its actual fish. The batter is crispy & the fish cooked fresh but the oil is so old & thats all you can taste. The chips although are made from potatoes half of them are so thin & crispy, theyre inedible! Watery mushy peas completed a really average meal. £11 for fish & chips of this quality is criminal!

Confused ! I have used this Fish House regularly. How ever every time it comes to paying the bill. I am always told to pay cash because the contact less machine does not work. There are times I don’t carry cash. I think they are taking cash only to avoid income tax. Has anyone else experienced this issue ? I have now stopped buying my Fish and Chips from this outlet and warn others to insist on paying by card or contactless transactions.
