We returned to Welcome Friends recently, the first time in over five years. Whilst the restaurant is clearly under new ownership and the red flock wallpaper has gone the food and service did not disappoint. The food was excellent, we shared a starter - a 1/4 crispy duck and had mains that were chicken and king prawn based. Both the chicken and king prawns were very succulent and tasty. Do not judge a book by its cover! This place has stood the test of time. We ate in and the food was so good. We ordered so much I couldn't fault 1 plate! Their prices are also still very reasonable (please don’t increase them now ha)
