Stopped in to dine on my own and the staff was so kind, especially Virginia. Decided to add a beer and shot to my meal. A game was on and the music was great. Made it easy to have a dinner alone!
Having been in London for over a week I was tired of burgers, fries, curries, and pizza. I wanted some plain meat and vegetables. The Steak and Ale Pie at the Earls Court Tavern looked like what I wanted, and I wasn’t disappointed. The dish is a REAL PIE ( not a bowl of beef stew with a miserly top of supermarket puff pastry, a poor excuse for a pie IMHO.) Probably my favorite meal during my London trip - absolutely loved the steak and ale pie, wish I could have taken a dozen more home with me. The fish & chips were excellent too, and the staff was attentive and efficient. Would love to go back again, and would highly recommend especially the steak pie for visitors!
