This is a local pub for me, so it was nice to try something a little different from the usual Gastro Pub... I've got no complaints about the food or the service. Staff very friendly if a little rushed - we ordered some cheese toasties as a starter while waiting for a main course..... and this came with out main meal.. Not ordinarily a problem , but considering we pre-ordered our food and still had to wait well over an hour for our Sunday Roast that really is just not acceptable....read full review
We drove past this place for a year without going in and have only realised what a mistake that was. It’s an utterly gorgeous pub with a beautiful interior and a fabulous South African menu. It has a nice atmosphere but is never too busy to get a table with the kids for early dinner. Every staff member we’ve ever encountered has been both knowledgeable and clearly well versed in what they do. Great South African food and wines, lovely outdoor seating with heaters in winter, indoor seating is comfy amongst the tasteful decor. Staff are always lovely and kind. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great place to visit when I’m feeling homesick for Cape Town.
