Booked my Birthday meal here Its always fully booked and you can only book 2 weeks in advance Its darkly lit with a lot of atmosphere The food tastes and feels authentic. Tried the anchovy with sough-dough, penne with tomato , beef strips and fig panna cotta with a carafe of house wine A lovely alternative evening
Not sure where to begin... On a Wednesday evening it was packed which goes to show the popularity. I loved every second. The seating was a bit cramped but it certainly added to the atmosphere. We opted for 3 courses and each was as fantastic as the next. The sign of a good local restaurant offering fresh food was that you had to see what was still available. 3.5/5Pasta here was good. Not everything we tried was good though: dough cuddles were under-fried, for ex, and tiramisu didn't have enough coffee flavour.Drinks were similarly good.Finally, service is so slow and just takes most of your dining time to coordinate things. We had to wait for a long time to get our bill.
