I took my wife here for our anniversary a few weeks ago because it has always been one of my favourites and it certainly did not disappoint. The food was impeccable as always, especially if you embrace the nose to tail ethos. Went to this branch if St. John twice recently, the food quality is always pleasing. One time my friend is a pescatarian, so we ordered a lot of veg dishes and the smoked cod roe. But the waiter didn’t take the order so I went back a second time to enjoy it. Eventhough we had all veg dishes and I’m not a vegetarian, it didn’t feel like something was missing. All dishes re very flavorful. Try the Welsh Rarebit - it’s a refined cheese on toast and surprisingly good and unique.

Excellent restaurant serving perfectly cooked fish. The ambiance is unpretentious and the service from Ronnie was friendly, professional and seamlessly efficient: not only did the food arrive in good time but the bill appeared as if through her powers of telepathy. We ate and were served well: it proved to be a very pleasant experience.
