Having viewed a couple of other local venues we booked a private room for our brother's wake. Unlike the other venues, we were immediately made to feel welcome and felt that this venue would suit our needs with it's bright open outlook and level access for elderly guests. Attended funeral wake with family, the spread that was put on was very sparse considering it cost £300, must confess I expected more. The guineas was cold and served well, the bar staff are convivial and very friendly, the outside area is pleasant. Overall I'd give the pub 6/10. Atmosphere is created by the people in attendance

A nice little pub with ample outside seating, either on the side/back patio or in the garden. There are plenty of tables & a play area at the back of the garden.For those complaining about "families with children not being welcome" - I beg to differ. That is precisely why there is the play area installed in the garden.
