“Surprise hidden gem tucked in one of the little cobbled lanes off Richmond Green. From the outside you would think it's your usual British pub, but once you step inside and see the crisp linen on the tables you know you're somewhere much more special. Staff are very friendly and listen attentively to your needs. Menu is superb, and food itself is delicious. Great wine list too with some interesting cocktail mixes you wouldn't find anywhere else.
Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating and friendly staff towards children. Plenty of highchairs and childrens options to eat.”

“We went there on a Sunday, but we weren't interested in having a roast, so we had two burgers and our kid had their pig in duvets (they basically had a large sausage about 5cm in diameter covered in bacon, then sliced off about 5 generous discs and served with gravy) which was delicious. Then very nice fries and a tomato and cucumber salad. All very tasty and the drinks were really nice.
We deducted one star because of the misleading dessert.... When you read white chocolate and strawberry cheesecake, you expect a nice solid cake made of a mix of creamy cheese, and in this case white chocolate mixed in etc. The dessert would get 0 stars if possible. It was a disgusting mix of saw dust in the bottom of a cup with cheese the consistency of yoghurt and some mystery strawberry cubes....
We regret not getting dessert at the Italian place next door.
Parking: Can't park there, it the Old Deer Carpark is only a 5 minute walk away. It's also not far from Richmond Station and lots of buses go nearby.”

“Went to The Railway with a friend to watch the Community Shield.
Ordered meals and drinks.
Everything was perfect and Darren was the perfect host.
I would definitely recommend this venue and will visit here again the next time I’m in Richmond.”

“Such a warm, friendly atmosphere. We regularly walk the dogs up and have a couple of drinks and a couple of starters to share. Simon and David are the ultimate hosts, always warm and welcoming. The quiz is good fun. Look out for the family/children’s events. Mum and dad can relax while the children enjoy the activities of the day. Five stars. *****”

“The lunchtime menu is excellent. They have daily blackboard specials, which are not to be rushed. There's always a daily 'small bite' bar choice such as Scotch Egg, pork belly, etc, which are more starter sizes. Both are firm favourites!
Update:
Hadn't been for a few weeks, but when I did, Tilly gave a warm greeting, followed by 'The usual'? That is priceless, thank you! As for the fish and chips, well, I must say, it was, honestly, the best fish I've ever had. Simply, perfect! Sorry I forgot to photo before I'd cut it. The fish was amazingly fresh, but the batter? Delicious! They've swapped the beer batter for cider batter. What a difference! Thank you.”

“Great pub with loads of character right on Richmond Green. Good food, great beer, and a warm, welcoming vibe. Fun for Ted Lasso fans, but also just a fantastic place to relax with a pint.”
