I was impressed by the atmosphere and we were given the choice of a table in the pub section near a lovely coal fire, or one in the dining section - we chose the one near the fire. Very cosy on a cold day! The only difference is that you go and order from the bar instead of table service (though they do bring your food to you). Not only is this lovely old pub popular because of the wonderful Ted Lasso series, it's just great.Really attractive pub on the Green, serving delicious food, at fair prices, served by really well trained people.We went Friday lunch time, today, and the young man serving us was absolutely golden: professional, well informed, funny and really helpful.My friend and I had the Owsten pork chop with cabbage, peas and apples. I didn't think that a visit to The Prince's Head in Richmond would be a highlight for me, but that's what being a fan of the show Ted Lasso does to you. The pub itself is quite nondescript, but seeing its surroundings really takes you back to key scenes from Season 1. When we talked to our host, Thomas, he shared that there are some regulars who have not ever seen the show, while there are some big time fans who keep foot traffic quite regular.
