I moved away from Bolton 30 odd years ago and now I've returned to my roots during a conversation with my mum we mentioned Ye Olde Pastie Shoppe. Armed with a shopping list from Boltonians now living in exile I returned to relive my youth. Nothing had changed, still a queue, same crazy shaped pasties and friendly staff. The annual visit back home isn't complete, until I've been to Ye Olde's to grab some pasties! A local staple, been around since 1887, and there's a reason for that, the patiea are pretty special.If you're reading this, your prob from out of town, as the locals know this places open and closes early, so if you're looking to sample, try go before the lunch time rush. Got some cheese pasties, Wow just delicious, better quality, very reasonable price product, very much loved by pies and pasties lovers, even some footballers gets their baked goodies from here.
