Running Hill Gate, Uppermill, OldhamNice traditional pub. Fancied somewhere different for pub food and thought it would be easy to eat without booking. Shocked how busy it was but they accommodated us and food was excellent. Too say it's in a random location everyone but us must know about it, little gem

Diggle Lock
Unit 5, Warth Mill, Huddersfield Rd, Diggle, OldhamI am at Diggle Lock now - having just had a light brunch - absolutely delicious - I do love this place - the staff are very friendly, warm and welcoming - nothing seems to be too much trouble for them - in fact there has just been a chorus of 'happy birthday' sung by the staff as they brought a cake with candles for a customer - if you are passing and even if you are not it really is worth stopping here to enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Thank you.

Cross Keys Inn
Running Hill Gate, Uppermill, OldhamWe had such a wonderful visit two weeks ago and felt we had to share how impressed we were. The steak and chips were absolutely outstanding — the quality of the steak really shone through, and every mouthful was a genuine pleasure. It was cooked and seasoned beautifully and full of flavour, making it one of the most enjoyable meals we’ve had in a long time.
What made the experience even better was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owners and staff were all incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely valued throughout our visit. It’s clear they really care about their customers, so thank you all.
We also noticed the effort being put into improving the outside area, which is a lovely touch and shows real pride in the place. And as dog owners, we especially appreciated the thoughtful gesture of providing treats — it didn’t go unnoticed!
Thank you for such a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back and will happily recommend you to others.
