I remember going to Kongs for fish and chips when I stayed at the vicarage on Edna Street when I was an exchange student from the US over 40 years ago. So thrilled to see them still open. Hope to return someday.
Without doubt the best Chippy within Hyde and the surrounding area. Been run by the same family for 40+ years. I no longer live in the Hyde area but if I am at the parents, then a visit to Kongs for takeaway Fish and Chips is a must. The curry sauce is amazing with rice and the gravy amazing with chips so once asked for half rice and chips but curry on the rice and gravy on the chips.

I live north Manchester now and I have never been able to find a chippy that comes even close to how amazing this one is... in my 50's now been was a customer from my teens really is the best!
