A Chorlton institution and for a good reason!! 10/10 in every department, from the amazing selection of cheese and cured meats, the better than Gregg's pasties, too much good bread, unbelievable sweets and pastries! Sugared ring donut is my favourite, but anything you get is great!

The Barbakan is a wonder bakery/deli full of many delights plus at the same time amusing and annoying. Warning to vegetarians and vegans....you have to queue which isn't a problem but you will be waiting next to a monster sausage barbecue right by the door, then once you get inside all of the delicious breads are clearly visible giving you lots of time to make a decision. Great sevice from freindly staff and amazing fresh baked produce. The only problem I had with my visit was finding somewhere to park . the horrendous ongoing roadworks are a nightmare and don't look like the work will be finished soon. It must be having a huge impact on the small business. People of chorlton must be so fed up with it. I parked in the tesco garage nearby risking a fine so had to be quick.
