I used to frequent the Lass O'Gowrie regularly when I worked at Manchester University and it was always a fantastic post-work destination. I went for the first time in years for food and drink after an event in Manchester city centre this weekend, and am very happy to report it is still brilliant. The staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. I was glad to see it is still going strong.
Really cool pub centrally in Manchester. Service was great, and the food menu was a lot better than in many other pubs I have been to (fairly healthy, classics and modern touches, about 30% vegetarian dishes). We had the luck to be there on a night with live music and they also have evenings with quizzes or live sports. Highly recommended!

Spent the evening with a large group, spread over several parts of the pub. Hats off to the staff for coping with the chaos that entailed. Always had a smile and a calm demeanor. Pie was a real pie and was satisfyingly filling. Wide range of beer options, had several different and were all good.
