My daughter and I had been in Nu Spa all afternoon enjoying the pool and spa. The chap on the reception desk in the spa was lovely and after we saw the weather outside and worried about going in to town for tea he suggested the Park Hotel restaurant. A one night stay for a spa pamper and little local choice decided to eat in the restaurant. Nachos came without the chilli beef - redone quickly, have to say. Mains choices limited. Beetroot and halloumi burger quite dry chips flat not crispy. Suggested they had sat waiting being kept warm? Presentation ok, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast next morning not HOT. We visited the restaurant after our spa treatment in the hotel. We had an offer voucher so it seemed convenient for us to eat here and the settings are lovely and modern. The service was excellent although there was quite a long wait for food and it wasn't busy so we didn't understand why?
