Been a few years but what sets this place out from the rest is the quality of the steaks , locally reared sources beef absolutely spot on and cooked very well . To start the pea and ham soup actually full of ham not like other local places I have reviewed !Steaks amazing sides spot on as nd the Argentinian Malbec amazing . We will be back roaring log fires ? on a rainy cold Christmas Eve afternoon simply perfection
We regularly visit The Old Original as we like the simple not overpriced menu. It is a simple menu but all the steaks and meats we have had have been delicious. Its not posh and doesnt claim to be. Its clean and comfortable, love the real fire in the winter and great views in the summer. The waiting staff are super efficient and professional whilst friendly.

Gorgeous food at very reasonable price on the midweek menu. Lovely place and nice staff. Highly recommend the Mossley potato pie and the Kentish Vegetable pie - both cooked fresh and delicious. Thanks very much
