We enjoyed a delicious meal here for our Dad's Birthday. We have eaten here a few times in the past and had enjoyed several good meals, so were quite shocked to read some of the more recent negative reviews. Despite these, we decided to book again anyway and we were not disappointed! Let down by the newly re-opened China Buffet in nearby Bury - apparently it is no longer a serve-yourself buffet; but you now get table service and MUST order by smartphone app. None of our party had a working phone with them, so we were turned away. Great welcome at China Cottage where we turned up on spec. Excellent food, piping hot, strongly recommend the mixed Dim Sum starter selection, good sized portions and nothing is too much trouble. Will return soon.

Absolutely amazing. Staff are lovely, super friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The food was so good, we had a mixture between our group and every one was great. Good selection of dishes available too and all cooked fresh which is so much better than the usual buffet. We also had a coeliac and they were so helpful and even have gf soy sauce so could make almost everything gf.We will definitely be going again.
