Visited with my family for a festive meal treat I ordered the pork it was so salty I couldn’t eat it and the sprouts were very hard I couldn’t cut them. Returned the food and was brought the turkey instead but still not happy the turkey was thick and dry with the worst vegetables some too soft some undercooked. Staff are friendly and helpful I could not fault the warm welcome and swift service. But the food was not the George standard I have come to expect at this restaurant....read full review
Went for big family Christmas Day meal... lovely venue & very popular... Booked 3-Course Christmas Meal at £105 per head (before adding drinks; so about £1k spent including drinks, less deposit £50 per head)... Great family occasion, food good & service ok for a busy day... Only thing missing (which we realised afterwards) was restaurant not giving anyone our glasses of fizz meant to receive before the meal... Would have marked 4 out of 5, but cannot give 'very good' rating...read full review
Delicious food, cannot fault it at all. Shame that all the staff were miserable and service was really slow. Had to ask for table water 3 times and it eventually came after an hour of being there! Had to ask for the bill twice and the girl just eye rolled at us. Would definitely recommend based on the lovely breakfast we had but that’s all.
