What a, gem of a place! Really lovely management and staff, friendly welcome for myself and my parents. We had two cream teas, (the scones are homemade by the smiley young lady who greeted us) and coffee and carrot cake..which was delicious. We sat outside in the shade on a sunny day and very much enjoyed our afternoon.A place not to miss.
Cassandraās Cup is very conveniently sited directly opposite Jane Austenās house in Chawton and is the perfect place to have something to eat and/or drink when visiting. The staff are attentive and helpful and the decor inside is very welcoming. I love the tea cups suspended from the ceiling! The food is very good - I had a delicious feta, chickpea , pepper, onion, cucumber salad that was full of flavour and a decent sized portion. A generous pot of tea helped it down nicely....read full review

Highly recommended would definitely return. We popped in before our visit to Jane Austenās. Very friendly staff and great coffee. Coffee shop is in my ānan with a backpackā Jane Austen video on YouTube.
