“I stayed in my camper, from the moment I arrived I was well looked after by Ray, had the most delicious rainbow trout. The whole experience was amazing, I wish I lived closer, as this place is a real gem.”

“I needed somewhere to watch the football that also served food, the Anton Arms did not disappoint. With a warm and comfortable environment, it didn't take me long to find a seat and order a drink and some food in front of one of the TV screens displaying the match. I felt a craving for carbs so I had Hunter's topped chips and cheesy garlic bread - both were absolutely perfect, portions were great and taste was amazing and definately not an all-too-common microwave job. Staff were friendly enough and the atmosphere was top-notch.Will definately go again, 5 Stars.”

“Great find. We met a friend halfway for lunch, searched dog friendly and found the oak. Food is nice, service is good and the fact they allow dogs is great. We've sat in the conservatory each time we've been and have been comfortable enough. Can't wait to come in the summer to try out the pods in the ”

“We caught the last bit of sunshine sat in the garden at The Lion this evening. The service was fantastic. The starters were particularly stunning. We often order calamari and garlic prawns when we eat out but these were some of the best we’ve ever tasted. The fillet steak was delicious and the accompanying wine was fantastic too. We will be back very soon!”

“What a lovely evening last night great service food was piping hot and the staff went above and beyond. Ricky the mad Irish man was so lovely, friendly and extremely welcoming. He made my lad chuckle a few times my son is autistic and ordering dinner wasn't a problem to ask for items not to be on the plate etc. Ricky was laughing at the fact my son had the chocolate mania but somehow managed to finish off my chocolate fudge cake ?.Booking a table is definitely recommended as it does get busy. However we took pot luck and were lucky enough to get seated and served rather quickly. The wait for food wasn't long at all and we were checked on by staff regularly.Good value for money and we will be back soon.Kid-friendliness: Staff were friendly and extremely welcoming to children”

“Hello food enjoyers!Today I had a meal at the gurkha baynjan with my family, and let me tell you, It was exceptional. The food was beautiful, the table layout was amazing, and we had a lovely handsome boy serving us called callum! I myself ordered the baynjan special chicken which I would recommend and special fried rice. The service was great with our plates being quite hot (although this didn't affect our waiter as he had hands of steel which was very impressive) There are a few reviews I had seen about this waiter with Jordan's but he wasnt working tonight unfortunately. All in all an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend this lovely warming pub!! ?”
