Looks like a throwback as you pass and to some extent when you walk in and look around. Landlady was busy serving but looked up and said "I'll be with you in just a minute." Simple thing but rarely practised - my dad would've called it "the mark of a good pub." Landlord and barmaid both came in then and we were served. When the barmaid put my pint of Tribute on the bar she said "I'll just let it settle"; I knew then I wasn't going to get served a short pint and have to ask for...read full review

The pub has a lovely beer garden and inside is good too. Made to feel very welcome by the landlord and staff. Table service was quick and efficient. A very enjoyable evening. Only drinks served at the moment but we were informed starting to serve food sometime in August.

A very family friendly pub, with a lovely warm welcoming Landlady and friendly helpful staff. Not to menion that the food is amazing, especially the chips. I can't recommend this pub enough
