I've visited the Village Fish Bar quite often, for a number of years. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent - and fairly priced. I can certainly recommend it.
Warning ! This is the BEST fish and chips so there can be a very long queue on a Friday but it is SO worth it. It says just how good the food is because we drive 13 miles to go there ! Very generous portions all freshly cooked and red hot ! NEVER had an overcooked or bad meal from the Village Fish Bar and all the staff are so friendly. We had two cod and chips on Saturday lunch time (18 th Nov). Couldn't ask for better quality and excellent service. They say that the "youth of today" don't know how to behave or be polite. The young staff at work then certainly showed that they could be polite and thankful that they'd got a good Saturday job. The meal was very good. The front service area was kept clean and tidy. If holidaying in the area again I'd certainly go again and be happy to recommend.
