I have eaten at Monsoon twice both times in a group of 10. The food on both occasions has been excellent with all the dishes being full of flavour. The mixed grill was especially good. Portion sizes are ample and just right with rice and a selection of sides for the table. The services is attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back soon

Excellent crispy chicken and cheddar sandwiches. Masses of it. Good prices. Roaring fire.Vegetarian options: Spicy vegetable and chick pea soup. My mother said it was absolutely gorgeous.

First time trying this restaurant. Surprisingly tasty food and easily the better of the two Indians in the town imo.
Although I had Takeaway and ordered online (so I only met some staff upon collection) I found the two waiters I met very friendly.
Will definitely use them again.

Well Done Mama Mia!
Thank you for a perfect dining experience when I took my lovely wife out for a Friday night date, we realised we hadn’t actually ever been to Mamma Mia’s before, whereas when the restaurant was called ‘The Stilton Dish’ (19 years prior), we were semi-regulars and always loved eating there. Sorry it’s taken so long to back here….we have missed out on a lovely restaurant for too many years.

The (not so new) owners gave as a true Italian delight with 3 beautiful courses, made with love and served with heartfelt affection. We enjoyed every aspect of our Mamma Mia dining experience, easy telephone booking, very friendly greeting with the offer of storing our coats, our waitress (also the owner) was a delight…warm and friendly and lovely to chat with too.
The fresh Scottish oysters were plump and delicious, the starter salad was just perfect, steaks were very generous and we couldn’t resist sharing a lemon cello tiramisu to finish. 10/10 meal and we thoroughly recommend you should visit too.

We went on a busy Mother's Day and had a great experience. Service was very prompt, waiting about 30 mins for all the mains to come out at once. The food itself was delicious, we had a mixture of pizza and pasta, all of which was to a high standard. The chicken fettuccine with tarragon was a particular highlight, I could happily keep eating that plateful even with the generous portion provided! The pizzas available are distinct from other Italian restaurants I've visited, all with tasty toppings. Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

The Taj was packed on New Years Eve, which was a good sign. Some speciality dishes on the menu, plus all the old favourites. Really enjoyed my meal. Bottled Kingfisher beer. £32 per head. Cards accepted.

I think the bad reviewers may have been looking for Buckingham palace. This place is excellent and extremely reasonable on frankly stunning hotel grounds. Staff were wonderful and service was extremely fast even though every table was filled. Highly recommend the passion fruit tart and chocolate fondant for dessert.

A spur of the moment lunch on a Saturday. The staff were very welcoming and also very accommodating for a wheelchair user that arrived. The Cafe is tucked away - you have to go through an antique shop to access it, but this is part of the charm. A quiet oasis just off the high street. Food was very tasty, and served promptly. I will definitely be returning.
