Nigel is a fantastic host. Nothing is too much and his thoughtfulness is quite fantastic to the weary traveller. Our room was very generous in space and comfortable, parts did need a refresh, but the views are wonderful and open fire in the withdrawing room was a rare treat.I will definitely return for a weekend getaway as a base for exploring more of the area.

Really nice and quiet location. Room was clean and Nigel was very friendly and welcoming. Ideal for dog owners as hotel is dog friendly and plenty of land to walk the dog around, we also found the chickens living out the back. Excellent location for goodwood or goodwood and served as a great stop on our way to the Isle of wight. Breakfast was excellent as well. Thoroughly recommend.Rooms: Clean and tidy with everything you need. This is a no frills and very quiet bed and breakfast in a lovely location.Walkability: Large grounds which were great for walking the dog

Four of us shared rooms in the attic, very clean and comfortable. One person was 6 feet tall and had to avoid the beams but he managed very well. The building is very old, some parts built in 1644, lovely features and furniture. The breakfast was really great, well organised so we got exactly as requested.Nigel the owner was a delight, I wish him many more years in his childhood home.

This lovely historic family home was our base for 3 nights and four of us had a delightful stay. Large rooms with comfortable beds and good bathrooms, so quiet at night. The grounds are beautiful and the owners clearly love the place and want to share that. Breakfast was good although we would have preferred to have made our choices in the morning rather than having to order the day before. This and the room not being made up each day seemed to be a legacy of covid. There are many good village pubs in the vicinity for evening meals plus restaurants in Petersfield about 3 miles away and it was a good base to explore the Jane Austen House and the Gilbert White House. Portsmouth with its dockyard attractions and ferries to the Isle of Wight is just over 20 miles by train or car.

Langrish House Hotel is like staying in a National Trust country house! The house is beautiful with a wonderfully traditional interior. The gardens are huge and you can easily enjoy a half hour wander around the lawns, forest and lake areas, where wildlife is everywhere. The room (ours was the "Superior") had fantastic views across the garden and was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, power shower was amazing, and every single person was genuinely brilliant. Our dog loved it too!Food & drinks: There's no restaurant or bar on-site but local take-aways will deliver and they are happy to provide you with plates and cutlery, which is great!

My husband and I stayed at Langrish House for one night over the Easter weekend. If only we could have stayed longer. We had a lovely experience - from booking with Laura, arriving at this fabulous historic house, the warm greeting from Nigel and Robina, our lovely, clean and very comfortable room, the stunning view of the grounds from the window, exploring the pretty area, a great dinner at the local recommended pub, a great nights' sleep and the wonderful welcome and breakfast by Val. I hope to return and for longer next time. Thank you to everyone at Langrish House!

Stunning house and grounds and a hidden gem in the South Downs. The proprietors where nothing but warm and welcoming, Nigel even kindly gave us a lift into East Meon (4 adults, 3 dogs). Rooms are slightly dated but I feel that adds to the charm of the place. The rooms open to the public all tell an interesting story of time gone by akin to a romantic novel or period drama. Will definitely be back!!!

We stayed one night at Langrish House for my mother’s 80th birthday with my extended family. We had exclusive use of the house and used 8 of the rooms. Everything was wonderful and we were warmly welcomed by the owners who checked us all in and gave us tea. We used an outside caterer, Alex, who they recommended for dinner, who was absolutely excellent. We were able to all sit on one table in their dining room, which we also had for the extensive breakfast. We used the drawing room for drinks before dinner and coffee afterwards. The rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water. Beds comfortable and nice towels and linens. The house was tranquil and the gardens beautiful. Another massive bonus was we could bring our 2 dogs who were also warmly welcomed. All in all a great and memorable experience for our family.

A large group of us stayed over for a family wedding. Everyone was extremely friendly and we were looked after by the amazing Val @ breakfast. The food is delicious and good quality and service is first class. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Also, lovely walks in the beautiful grounds. Would highly recommend. Thanks again! Jo & family :)

We were made to feel totally welcome upon our arrival at this marvellous family run B&B, with both Nigel and Robina being fantastic hosts. Being served breakfast by the wonderful Val was an experience in itself and we really enjoyed chatting with everyone and learning some of the family history. Thank you all so very much and we will certainly consider re-booking when we next visit the area. Ian & Sue(from Plymouth)

We stayed at Langrish as part of a large walking group, and could not have been more pleased with the outcome. Firstly, the 'admin' is excellent, and Laura was very helpful over the distinctive features of the various rooms, and changes to the booking as people 'dropped in and dropped out'. Our room was very comfortable: clean, a wonderful hot shower...with comfortable bed and suitable tea/ coffee making facilities. Our 'group' breakfasts were a joy with willing staff who provided more of whatever was required. We used the Drawing Room in the evenings with Nigel kindly lighting the fire for us, and we set up our own impromptu 'bar' before going out for meals. There are some lovely nearby pubs/ restaurants, and Robina provided very helpful suggestions. Langrish is a very special place and we were all made to feel as though we were sharing somebody else's home, and that our hosts wanted us all to enjoy ourselves to the maximum.
