Nigel is a fantastic host. Nothing is too much and his thoughtfulness is quite fantastic to the weary traveller.Our room was very generous in space and comfortable, parts did need a refresh, but the views are wonderful and open fire in the withdrawing room was a rare treat.I will definitely return for a weekend getaway as a base for exploring more of the area.

Really nice and quiet location. Room was clean and Nigel was very friendly and welcoming. Ideal for dog owners as hotel is dog friendly and plenty of land to walk the dog around, we also found the chickens living out the back. Excellent location for goodwood or goodwood and served as a great stop on our way to the Isle of wight. Breakfast was excellent as well. Four of us shared rooms in the attic, very clean and comfortable.One person was 6 feet tall and had to avoid the beams but he managed very well.The building is very old, some parts built in 1644, lovely features and furniture.The breakfast was really great, well organised so we got exactly as requested.Nigel the owner was a delight, I wish him many more years in his childhood home.
