We visited this pub several times with family during our visit. It is a neighborhood pub where people know each other. They have a good selection of draft beer and many kinds of gin.We shared an order of traditional fish and chips. They were crispy and the fish was cooked perfectly.

Ten of us descended on the Folly for a get together and an evening festive meal. We were seated on along table near the bar which was handy for getting drinks. It was busy which was expected at this time of year but the bar service was prompt and adequately staffed. Our meals came out and we were all surprised at the amount. Have enjoyed many of the carvery Sunday roast in the Folly Upstairs and so was happy to book for a Sunday roast downstairs in the absence of service Upstairs. Very disappointed. Food was way off the quality of carvery and instead of an excellent choice of up to 5 vegetables were served with peas and carrots frozen mix. Yorkshire puddings were burnt on top. Definitely not up to usual standard.
