Nice pub and great food. Staff very welcoming. I go there every couple of months to meet up with a retired work colleague.Parking: It's a popular place, spaces soon get filled, places to park on the street too
Great traditional pub ,excellent service, food is amazing, landlady is special and runs a fantastic Inn with live music on certain nights of the week ?fresh meat draw on a Sunday ,such a friendly and welcoming place to visit ?

Lovely pub. Used it many times. Was my old local. Used to live just down the road from it in the 1980s. Downside of pub is it's pricey for drinks. Still a nice place for a drink. Dogs are welcome too.Parking: The George Inn is on a major road junction on top of Portsdown Hill. Parking is on site but restricted. You can use the road outside but the road is very busy. So you have to be careful where you park.
