Just dropped in on a dog walk. Landlord was friendly and happy to chat about the cricket. PInt of Stella was very welcome to this tired walker. The pub is close to Portsmouth's unusual Anglican Cathedral but - as usual when I have a dog in tow - I felt that I couldn't really take a look inside. Surely God would welcome a spaniel... the pub certainly did.
Many thanks yesterday afternoon to the young man behind the bar with a shot Mohican style haircut with shaved sides. Great reception and lovely pint or 3 of Abbots ale and pink gin and tonics for Anth on her birthday. Sorry we couldn’t get back today. Forgot we were going home.
