“Wonderful Sunday lunch. Came in late on Sunday evening and had a great meal with the family. It’s always a worry coming late on a Sunday but these guys remained professional throughout after a (no doubt) busy weekend and the food quality was second to none.

A quintessential British pub with great good, and a variety of draft beers and varied wine list. The roasts were one of the best I’ve enjoyed in a restaurant. Highly recommended, the staff couldn’t be more attentive.”

“The bird in hand staff are absolutely amazing, very welcoming. They go above and beyond. I wasn’t too keen on the meal I ordered (nothing to do with the food) and they asked if they could change the meal or take the price of the meal off the bill, they didn’t need to as it was my choice and me that wasn’t keen on it.”

“All round a pleasant few hours spent here, eating and drinking, the food we did have was nice, staff were friendly and efficient, only negative is to be told one of the choices on the menu is not available, well that's okay it happens at a lot of places, but to be told there's only 1 steak left at 7pm on a Saturday night is a little lacking in organisation I'm afraid ?”
