Lovely pub, with a charming staff - chef & barmaid. We got there just too late for lunch but the chef was sitting down at the bar & offered to re-open the kitchen & cook us a meal. Really lovely of him, the food was good, the drinks were good & service great. Only complaint? the dreaded card machine which asks you - before you have eaten or sipped your drink, whether you want to leave a tip. It really makes you want to say "no" but we did say "yes". Lovely village pub with friendly staff. Good food (we had the prawn cocktail, Camembert , Hunter’s chicken, and Lasagne) very tasty! Glad we arrived early as it got busy. Nice beer garden to enjoy the sun. Will be back !!

Wonderful village pub, with super friendly staff. Just borderline on prices, but their menu looks amazing. I didn't eat on this visit, but I'll make a point of trying something next time.Be aware that you can park in the Village Hall car park, which is directly beside The Vine.Highly recommended.
