The Golden Lion is a lovely pub with good decor and attentive staff. It offers great food and a good choice of drinks. The Sunday Roast Lamb is highly recommended, described as the best out in years, along with exceptional desserts like treacle tart and sticky toffee pudding. While the service is friendly and polite, the pub could benefit from a modernization, as some areas appear dated and in need of a refresh. Dogs are also welcomed.
