Not been to this area for many years as was where my husband was manager of the satellite station at Madley. Was a wonderful sentimental journey. We booked the whole restaurant for a family event one Sunday lunchtime. Sarah the chef/owner was so helpful in making arrangements beforehand in selecting the menu and catering for people’s various dietary needs. She took the trouble to note who was having which dish, to help the serving out and this created a friendly atmosphere on the day too. The room was set out as we’d like it with long tables. Turned up with no booking on a rainy evening and the restaurant was closed however the welcoming chef saw us at the door and invited us in. Lovely meal with our own personal chef! I can recommend the ice cream meringue sundae.Thank
