The 4 of us stopped in Pembridge last week for 4 nights. On the first night we wandered into this very old and quite remarkable pub. We had a few ales (which were lovely hand pulled pints) and decided to eat there. I cannot sing the praise of the food highly enough. Truly outstanding food. Went up to see Pembridge Black and White Village and came across the New Inn for lunch. So old with loads of atmosphere, quaint and old-fashioned . Wife had a "bacon sandwich" half a baguette with so much local bacon she only just finished it but could not manage the bowl of local potato chips. Lovely old traditional pub run by Jane and Rosie two sisters for nearly 40 years. Open fires. We had steak and ale pie and it was perfect, beautiful tender meat fresh vegetables and lovely crispy chips. Would highly recommend
