Great coffee good service with a ?. It's a Starbucks just as expected good service , great bustling atmosphere in a lovely hotel with other amenities so you could just spend the whole day here .

It started so well, loverly and clean, and easy to check in. We booked a club room. To be honest, I was a little disappointed with the money we paid. I expected more. I have stayed in Premier Inn that seems better. Firstly, why is it Village Hotel at Watford? It was a bit of a drive to Harry Potter World it says a 20-minute drive with the traffic it's more than that. It's awkward for the M1. And we had problems with the lights in the bathroom we told reception and nothing was done it made things difficult ror my wife to get ready. The food wasn't that good . Toby Carvery was not far away by car it was difficult to get a dink at the bar. It seems the staff was more interested in doing other things instead of serving. But there was a nice blond lady who was nice and pleasant. On the plus side, a good pool has lots of gym bunny people posing funny to see the strut about. As for using this hotel again, to be honest, I'm not really sure if I was going to Harry Potter again or wanted to be closer to Watford .. no. If I was driving to or from the south, maybe.....Hope this helps someone

Booked a Club room for 1 night, GBP175 B&B. Only one bath towel in room. No coffee machine or Alexa, TV would not accept casting/mirroring from iPhone. Service and food in the bar/restaurant terribe. Ordered and paid for 2 x frozen cocktails and then told 'sorry, they arn't frozen', amount refunded to card, however takes upto 7 working days. Appetizers were dry & overcooked. My partner orderd a cheeseburger and was served a brie and bacon burger (...he is Muslim...) and was told 'just remove the bacon'. No replacement order was taken. My tuna melt had less fish in it than a Dwarf Goby fish. At breakfast, all cooked items bar rubbery scrambled egg had run out. No vegetarian sausages available. Steam room was out of order and had been for 7 days already. Big clumps of hair in the female changing room showers. Overall a disappointing stay. I have previously stayed at the following Village hotels: Swindon/Portsmouth/Bristol. Each of those properties were excellent, Watford was dire in comparision.

Stayed for 1 night, staff very polite and cheerful and helpful, dinner was lovely and breakfast! Swimming pool was good, the room looked abit dated with cheap ikea furniture and the bathroom didn’t look the cleanest! The bed itself was very comfortable and was very peaceful and quiet at night time which was the main thing! Also free car parking at weekends also which was a bonus

Stayed in a lot of hotels but this one has the comfiest pillows/ matress/ duvet. We got room service of the food they had downstairs which was amazing i loved the options. TV had good channels. Room decor was cool. Downstairs had a pool apparently. Starbucks. Amazing. Loved it. Reception lady was so nice.

Stayed for my son's birthday and the staff had arranged balloons, a cake and an elephant made from towels which was very cute! Their efforts made my son's birthday extra special, the facilities are amazing especially the pool which my kids enjoyed, free parking outside the hotel, staff were friendly and attentive and made the stay a very pleasant one, I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again!

The main issues were stains everywhere. The fitted sheet was covered in brown stains. The bath was chipped and stained and there were white drip marks over the pull down blind. Phoned guest services, no answer. Went to reception and they had someone come and change the sheets. Manager called the next week but we were abroad and no signal. Emailed to ask them to call again in the 3rd week of July. It’s now September so not holding out much hope! Wouldn’t stay again and wouldn’t recommend.

This hotel has it all, a gym, pool and Starbucks. A pub and grill, and room service. I ordered through both and the food was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend if in Watford.

Some staff were very polite and helpful, only the staff on reception were very rude, simr of the staff took our full, unopened bottles of wine, which we paid for and put them behind the bar, only leaving half empty ones. When it was mentioned, the staff denied it. Also we knew we could not enter our rooms untill 3pm.that was ok, but some of us could not get into rooms untill 10pm. Table staff tried to take our unfinished meals fom us. Will NOT go there again.

Recently stay here for the weekend and it’s an outstanding place, beautiful inside and out. The rooms are large and have enough space and are exceptional and well looked after. Adam in the restaurant just made our experience even better, fully knowable of the menu and he catered to our every need, very polite and attentive. Will definitely be returning!

Brilliant coffee made by very competent and friendly woman called Liv. Friendly atmosphere tasty and hot coffee. Liked the look of the sweet stuff but wasn't hungry. Comfortable place to hang out. Liv very helpful with a query.

Stayed with some friends. Hotel was lovely and reception staff were nice and helpful. It was very useful to have a Starbucks inside hotel to pick up coffee too. Thank you to Olivia who makes a lovely latte
