Lovely old, family run and traditional pub that’s a centre of the local community and welcoming to walkers and visitors. Opposite the village green and church with lots of outside and inside seating and a book swap corner inside. One of our favourite pubs to walk or drive to.Parking: Lots of free parking but look out on 1st Sunday of the month lunchtimes when lots of vintage cars meet at the pub as well.Kid-friendliness: As a family run pub, they are Very welcoming to children.Wheelchair...read full review

Charming family run business with an excellent/authentic homemade feeling to the food. Even the ketchup, sauces etc all appear to have been hand made in the restaurant. Brilliant and friendly staff. Very cosy and a little hobbit sized, so watch your heads....adds to the charm though.

We had a post wedding celebration at one of our favourite pubs and Laura & the team at The Goat were fantastic. We had half the pub to ourselves and a finger food buffet - which was perfect.
