Very good McMullen's Brewery pub a few yards from Hertford East Railway Station. Three cask beers on handpump when I visited including a mild. Lots of outdoor seating some of it covered in the lovely garden to the rear.
Friendly and genuine pub with plenty of regulars, just refurbished outside so looks smart and very handy for Hertford East station. They even serve Taytos crisps which are my favourite ! Football on the tv.

2016 & August 2023: Cute dogs. Very quiet when I visited and we were the only ones on our side of the bar. The pub is almost divided in half.We had cider, wine and baby Guinness.There is a nice outdoor area with sheltered seating. It’s got steps outside to get into the pub so if you’re unable to get out of your wheelchair accessibility isn’t great. Inside is, and they have accessible toilets which is so rare these days!
