We went on Christmas day and what a pleasant experience we had. We arrived early and got seated straight away. We were waiting on the rest of the party to arrive and was told not to stress, we had loads of time. Starters came out and were lovely and the carvery Christmas dinner was lovely. Desserts were brought out and although was too stuffed to eat them, we nibbled and they were up to standard too. Whilst we said after last years issues we wouldn't go out again, we are so glad we did. The manager was so attentive and was looking after the whole restaurant without any fuss. The staff were happy and this showed with the service they had provided. Thank you for not ruining our day! Well done guys you did a great job.. :)

Under new management. Was an amazing meal on a cold wet night. Jess was brilliant and the whole team . Service was extremely friendly and went well above what you would expect at a busy festive time. We went for the carvery. Unfortunately having started eating it we felt the veg wasn't up to standard expected. When the management asked (without prompting) how was the meal we explained the issue. The management dealt with the issue by offering us alternative meals at no extra charge. The management rectified an issue as soon as they were aware of it. The replacement meal was good the service was excellent and the atmosphere was what you'd expect.

The pub was a cozy hideaway with a warm atmosphere, and their drink selection was spot-on for a solo midday lunch. Moving on to the carvery, the roast was absolutely mouthwatering, and the portions were surprisingly generous. It was the ideal spot for a solo lunch, offering not only scrumptious food but also a welcoming ambiance that made dining alone a delightful experience.Dany was super nice !

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had the carvery and the food was poor quality. We have a 2 year old who hardly eats anything but the only carvery option for her was a £7.29 small plate which seems over priced for a 2 year old. They looked like they had a good selection of food in the regular menu so this could still be worth a try. They had a good selection on drinks but they had no ice or straws. I would go back again to try something different but I wouldn't go back for the carvery again.

Took forever for food to come out, other customers who came in later had received their food before us. When it did finally come out, it was cold and warm in the middle at best. Ice machine was also not working, so no ice for drinks, when we mentioned this at the end of our meal the server said that they would shout at the chef...
