Been using the captains fish & chips at Hoddesdon for a while now and ain't been disappointed at all, quality continues to be first class.Amazing traditional fish and chips, whether it's cod, haddock, rock eel or skate, fish as been fresh and cooked to perfection, chips are as they should be crisp outside and soft in the middle.Homemade curry sauce and tartare sauses are spot on.Staff are friendly, humorous and welcoming and even sent out a sausage for my dog while we were waiting...read full review

Had the cod fillets and chips with home made tartar sauce. Freshly prepared delicious the tartar sauce was fantastic. The shop looks great and the poppy display in the window very poignant. Service was friendly and the whole experience memorable. Highly recommend
