The Orange Tree

Exceptional food in a lovely setting! This place is a gem of a find and worth a visit! Especially if you want to venture into a new gastro pub!
We shared a couple of starters and then got our own mains and then shared a sticky toffee pudding! There were so many specials to choose from (many seafood) and the right appliances came to correctly get all the lobster out the shell (which my Dad appreciated) seafood rissotto was incredible as was mum’s fish and chips!
Lovely family dinner and washed it down with an incredibly smooth Pinot noir.

Villa Italia - Sawbridgeworth

Visited this lovely restaurant on a Friday evening as a party of eight and was very pleasantly surprised. Warm welcome by friendly staff and no rush to go to the table. Wonderful choice of food which when it arrived was delicious, hot and authentically Italian. Wine was fairly priced and good. Altogether a fabulous meal and evening with a lovely warm ambiance. Would definitely recommend it!!

Shed Coffee House Ltd

Came to the Shed today after being recommended by a Friend. Was not disappointed probably the best breakfast I have had this year. Bacon cooked perfect, sausages were fantastic poached eggs hash browns all on point. 80's music in the background was a trip down memory lane.
The cakes on the shelf look so tasty.

Lovely cafe, with brilliant food and speedy friendly service. The place was immaculate and there was also a spacious garden room at the back of the cafe too providing even more tables and seating. Would definitely visit again!

Green Man Pub

Lovely pub, amazing service.

Special shout out to Millie who made us feel so welcome and was so polite.

Mint Cafe

Just been in the mint café, very impressed. My go to test of a new café and a personal favourite is eggs Benedict. Cooked just right, coffee was with me very quickly. Good service, will be back again.

The Queens Head

Wonderful food, WONDERFUL service from barmaid Billy who was simply lovely, welcoming and warm. Give her a raise!

Food was absolutely top too. We'd eat her anytime. Great NZ Sauv Blanc as well.

Old Bell Inn

A lovely traditional English pub right in the heart of Sawbridgeworth. The Old Bell has plenty of character, with exposed wooden beams and a cosy atmosphere that makes it feel very welcoming. It’s a great place to meet friends for a drink and relax.
The staff are friendly and the service is quick, and there’s a good selection of beers and ales. The pub also has a nice outdoor garden which is perfect in warmer weather. Overall a great local spot with a genuine pub feel – definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

The Rising Sun Ale House and Kitchen

We had a lovely time in here. Friendly people and beer was good. Rose prosecco was lovely and cold. Good luck to you with starting over again since the covid. Lord and lady briggs. Xx

Chandini Indian

A lovely restaurant, friendly waiters and the food is delicious. Their onion bajis are the best I've ever tasted. It is mine and my Allan's favourite Indian restaurant. I would highly recommend Chandini.

Coffee Base

I visited this café for the first time today, and unfortunately my initial impression wasn’t great. I stood at the counter for several minutes before the staff member acknowledged me. I understand she was busy, but even a quick greeting would have made me feel more welcome.

I came because a friend recommended the cakes, but there were only two options available, which was a bit disappointing. On the positive side, my latte was absolutely delicious — definitely the highlight of my visit.

Despite the rocky start, I would give this café another try.

New Mexico Restaurant

Our family of 9 ate at the restaurant last night, we had a large round table which was great. The food was enjoyed by all. The large round table enabled some of us to share different dishes. The service and hospitality was spot on. Would highly recommend a visit……. Derek

Restaurant @ Manor of Groves

I booked afternoon tea here to celebrate my birthday with my family. There were 13 of us in total. I only booked a fortnight before, and had never in fact visited previously. I was pleasantly surprised, we were seated in the conservatory, with lovely views of the grounds. The staff, service, and food were all excellent. We all had a wonderful time. Thank you so much!

Peking Palace

The best Chinese around. I’m not normally a big lover of Chinese food but this place is amazing the service, the staff but most of all the food is sensational. Great takeaway also. Not on the menu but ask for honey ribs and enjoy!
