Standard branch of Costa, sited within The Maltings. Counter service of decent coffee, along with a fairly limited selection of pastries, sandwiches and snacks. There is some seating downstairs if the Ground Floor is busy. If you're lucky, you might find a vacant seat or two outside on a warm day. There are five or so small tables outside, including a couple under cover (often advisable in the UK!) Costa Coffee shop with an excellent manager, fabulous person, always makes every effort to make all customers very welcome and team fantastic, service was quick, efficient and friendly. For a couple of years now, we have been visiting this Costa shop, always been extremely pleased with the quality of service, cleanliness of the shop. Had a nice atmosphere.

I asked for a flat white with no foam. I got eye-rolling and face-pulling. Why can't I get what I ask for and when I pointed out that the coffee was not as ordered I received a "Well that's the way we do flat white. It's impossible to not get a layer of foam". I have a morbid fear of foam ever since I was attacked by a loofa in the bath (the last sentence is a joke, by the way)
