The entrance might be a bit tricky for some to navigate with the steps but the service inside is fast and welcoming. There’s a small number of tables out the front which are a real sun trap and despite being next to the road are relaxing. Decent pub and one worth popping into if you’re in the area.
Went along to the white Hart Tap Wednesday night quiz with some friends. Amazing night out, great food, a wonderful atmosphere, and the quizmaster is on point.Get yourself down for a good night out set in a lovely little part of St Albans.

I go here a fair bit, it's good, but the staff are strangely rude, all of them. Very few smiles. They don't mess around kicking people out for example, not sure why, maybe they have had bad experiences with customers. I tend to walk on egg shells and be super nice with them to try and make sure they don't get cranky with me. If my visit passes without any confrontations with the staff etc I consider it a win.
