We had an excellent lunch at God's Providence House with very friendly service. The food is home made and really good, I had a jacket potato that had never seen a microwave! Properly oven cooked with crispy skin. My husband's steak pie was extremely good, high quality steak with proper shortcrust pastry. The setting was lovely, looking out onto the church and square. Really good service, we were so pleased to have gone there for lunch. I highly recommend!
Visited here with my Aunt for her 92nd Birthday it was wonderful. The gentleman running the show is super fabulous. Marvellous food, drinks service & atmosphere. Dog friendly too. Thank you.

What a find! Just happened to pass this place, saw that they welcomed dogs and wandered in. Lovely to have tea served in a traditional pot (with tea cosy). The fruit scone with cream and jam was divine. The perfect English tearoom.
