I found this place as recommended by our tour guide. Given the short visit, I'd not researched anywhere else. That said, the place is good for what it does. It's a restaurant in a small tourist old town on the main drag. It seemed quite popular and réservations are recommended. I had the pepper steak and fries. One of the best meals I had in the ?? (I know, doesn't say much, but, still). The service was hurried and brief, but solid and friendly. The atmosphere seemed jovial and a mix of uk folks and foreigners (in American). Over all it was a solid meal with good service. I'd recommend it.Parking: This is on the main tourist drag, so, parking is far off.Kid-friendliness: Sure, you can bring kidsWheelchair accessibility: This building is not wheelchair friendly unless you're eating outside and even then, you won't be able to access the toilets

Very tasty food. Ambience super nice. The second oldest building in Canterbury after the cathedral. Half-timbered house. You can also sit outside by the river.Great value for money.Highly Recommended.

We had an awesome time at the Old Weavers House, which looks stunning both outside and inside. We were seated right away and our server was super great. We went for the chicken roast and the steak and kidney pie, and boy, they were both so yummy!We can’t wait to go back for another meal and we highly recommend it to our pals.

We went to weavers tonight for dinner with the family it was quite busy we set in the garden by the river I just have to say the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious I would definitely recommend this placeThanks weavers for the lovely time we had there

Waited in the l for ine for 15 minutes with the sole waiter ignoring us. I tried calling whilst in the que. After 4 rings they placed the phone on automatic answer machine. When we were seated the young waiter was polite and apologetic explaining that he was left alone to seat, serve and clear. Finally seated. That’s when it went downhill fast. We had visitors from abroad who entered from the boat trip unaware that you have to walk to the front the of the Resturant and re-enter from there. They were quite happy to do so when the new waiter arrived. He started shouting because they hadn’t entered from the Resturant. They agreed to do so when he started raising his voice. Then he played the race card?!! In the end we left our drinks and simply left with our family aghast at the behavior. We asked for the mangers details. He said he didn’t have them. As we left the first waiter apologised profusely. They missed lunch for a party of 10 and we won’t be back again. The 2nd waiter then said he was the manager. Due to his allegation of racism we asked for the CCTV which will exonerate us so we aren’t holding our breath and expect the “machine to be broken”. To them customer service is an oxymoron.
