This was recommended to us by some friends, and we are very glad we went. A lovely cosy atmosphere in a building dating from 1500. The menu is extensive, but we opted for pies with chips and veg and a dessert. I had the steak and kidney ( this was every bit as good as my granny’s), and my partner had steak and Stilton. We had a lovely meal and also enjoyed the interior of this historical house. They specialise in pies and they all looked good. We tried fish pie which was delicious. Also good selection of local beers

We like old curious old beams and good service.You will find it all there.The dishes we ordered could not be faulted,neither could the friendly service ans within 100 meters from the Abode hotel
