Good value lunchtime set menu only £16 for 3 courses. Vibrant atmosphere.

A very historic building, but with modern comfort and service. The food was home cooked and first class, just what was needed on a miserable winter's day!The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed.Parking: There is a free public parking lot opposite The Anchor, and it is sign posted.

Popped in here me my wife and the father and mother in law after having a meal in the village at a well known Indian restaurant. We went in the fires were on. It was not too busy which was great. They were so welcoming and nice. We had 3 Aspall ciders. Mother inlaw didn't want a drink but they went and asked her did she want just a glass of water which was very nice of them. We played billiards. Could not recomend this pub enough will go back again next time we are about.
