A very historic building, but with modern comfort and service. The food was home cooked and first class, just what was needed on a miserable winter's day!The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed.Parking: There is a free public parking lot opposite The Anchor, and it is sign posted.

Popped in here me my wife and the father and mother in law after having a meal in the village at a well known Indian restaurant. We went in the fires were on. It was not too busy which was great. They were so welcoming and nice. We had 3 Aspall ciders. Mother inlaw didn't want a drink but they went and asked her did she want just a glass of water which was very nice of them. We played billiards. Could not recomend this pub enough will go back again next time we are about.
Fab little pub, cosy, very attentive, good value. Will definitely return. Thank you.

OK, so you have some friends from overseas who want to see a typical British pub with great pub food. Look no further. This is the place. Come here for the full on great British Pub atmosphere and and food, friendly staff, timber beams, fire, well kept beer... you know the score.
